Sound Gardens - Architecture For Sonic Therapy
Design - concept

The Sound Gardens is a proposal in three phases to turn a decommissioned gasholder park and low-rise industrial area into a lively mixed neighbourhood designed to promote a holistic lifestyle free from stress.

The project sprung from a desire to improve our spatial world with knowledge and inspiration learnt from arts and science of sound, movement, and individual wellbeing, aiding users to maintaining physical and mental health by reaching higher states of calmness, wellbeing and ecstasy.

The technical exploration of the Sound Gardens comprises of a Design Principles Document and an Invitation to Tender for the glued laminated timber dome structure housing the main sonic event space.
